Red Giant Leap (Moscow) | Karina Borowicz
Sun pours through the red star
a window of burnt sugar
five points triumphant cartwheel over the city
because that's what rubies do
when liquefied and spit into a frozen sky
have you tried the cherry-flavored all-day suckers
a white moon stain bleeds through the red star
which tirelessly transmits its red code:
nature's rainbow of crimson can't touch this
I'm redder than that
five pricks of novocain
will ease the ache that cuts through sleep
as you gaze from a decaying balcony
at a twinkle in the devil's bloodshot eye.
